Honors Chemistry, Thursday, 3/19/20

I can determine how Covalent and Ionic Compounds bond through a virtual lab experience.

Element: SC3.f  The learner will compare and contrast types of chemical bonds (i.e. ionic, covalent).

1. Virtual Office Hours - 10:30a - 12:00p

    a. Remind - use the Remind App or email to send me questions.

    b. Picture of Work - send a picture of work with your questions so I can see what problems you are having.

    c. Daily Help Session - Meet on ZOOM at 1:00p each day. Use the same Meeting ID each day.

2. Finish Episode 501 & 502 - If you haven't finished these 2 assignments, please finish them today and submit your work on Remind. Follow the directions.     Go back and look at the blog when these were assigned to ensure you have completed everything.

3. Lab Day!! - No you do not need to dress out for lab :p

    a. Directions - you will NOT write this up in your Lab notebook. Answer on the downloaded Lab sheet.

    b. Virtual LabDownload Virtual Lab - Covalent & Ionic Compounds

    c. Open the download of the Virtual Lab - follow all directions. There is a live link that you will be using to collect data.

    d. Prelab - answer the prelab questions BEFORE you click on the lab link. Be sure to give complete, detailed answers. No one word answers.

    e. Lab - follow the directions on the sheet and answer all questions with complete, detailed answers.

    f. Finish Lab Writeup - Check to make sure that you answered all questions on the lab sheet AND you filled out everything in the data table.

    g. DO NOT TURN IT IN TO REMIND - I will be sending you a link to your own folder to turn in all future assignments.

    h. Save your Lab with this format - Your Name Virtual Lab Covalent Ionic Compounds
